Zhang Ziyi joins Jaeger-LeCoultre as a global ambassador, uniting watchmaking precision with cinematic elegance in an iconic partnership.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has appointed Zhang Ziyi as its new global ambassador, highlighting the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and sophistication. The internationally acclaimed Chinese actress and director—known for films such asCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragonand Memoirs of a Geisha—shared her admiration for fine watchmaking: “What fascinates me most is the obsessive attention to detail. That same pursuit exists in the way I act.”

In the words of CEO Jérôme Lambert, “Zhang embodies a career shaped by authenticity and excellence—values we deeply share.” This partnership strengthens the maison’s commitment to working with figures who transcend cultures and generations, such as Amanda Seyfried, Lenny Kravitz, and Kim Woo-Bin.

In her debut campaign, Ziyi wears the Reverso One Duetto Jewellery model, a gem-set jewellery watch which, according to the actress, “defines and completes a look with understated presence and character.” She also revealed her fondness for the Rendez-Vous collection, inspired by the brand’s early gemstone-set timepieces designed for women.

With a career spanning over three decades, Ziyi has been honoured at festivals including Cannes, the BAFTAs and the Golden Globes. In June, she returned to cinemas with the historical drama She’s Got No Name, which topped the Chinese box office. Her appointment by Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrates not only her status as a cinematic icon, but also her timeless elegance.
