The iconic actress Felicity Huffman, known for her role as Lynette Scavo in the original Desperate Housewives series, has shared her sincere thoughts on the much-anticipated reboot of the hit show, produced by Kerry Washington.
In a recent interview with E! News, Huffman expressed her enthusiasm and full backing of the project. “I’m completely, one hundred per cent, in favour,” said the 62-year-old actress. She also emphasised the importance of Kerry Washington leading this new version with a cast of women of colour: “It’s exactly what’s needed.”
Felicity also confirmed that Marc Cherry, the original creator and the brilliant mind behind the drama, is involved in the production, promising to maintain the show’s essence and quality. “So it’s going to be a great journey,” she added.
Although it’s not yet clear whether Kerry Washington will appear as an actress or only as a producer, the news of the reboot has generated great excitement among fans of the original series, which ran for eight seasons.
