Valentino presents its new ‘Vain’ campaign, shot by Sharna Osborne, highlighting elegance, femininity, and nostalgia through an analogue aesthetic.
Valentino Garavani launches his latest handbag campaign, ‘Vain’—an ode to intimate femininity and timeless beauty. Captured by Sharna Osborne—renowned for her work with Martine Rose—this campaign continues the visual narrative introduced with the Nellcôte bag, unveiled last month.

Under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele, creative director of Maison Valentino, the campaign explores the concept of “voyeuristic cinema” and embraces the look and feel of analogue photography to convey emotion, nostalgia, and elegance. Grainy textures and soft tones wrap around the new handbag silhouettes, evoking frames from a film frozen in time.
The new Vain bag, crafted from supple calfskin, features an elongated handle designed for comfortable shoulder wear. The collection includes variations in multicoloured floral embroidery, velvet, raffia, and an “animalier” design inspired by the ready-to-wear line. Also featured are the oval-shaped Vanity Bag and the sophisticated Soft Vain Clutch.
