Ami Paris unveiled its Spring 2026 collection with a realistic, elegant, and distinctly Parisian proposal, set in the iconic Place des Victoires.
The French label chose to present its latest collection in a way that emphasised authenticity and a deep connection to the city. Instead of opting for the grand, traditional venues often associated with Paris Fashion Week, Creative Director Alexandre Mattiussi selected Place des Victoires—a discreet, historic square in the heart of Paris—to showcase a collection that aims to reflect the true style of the city’s inhabitants.

The choice of location was no coincidence. Mattiussi, known for his intimate and approachable vision, noted that this is his own neighbourhood. The show thus became a celebration of the brand’s evolution—from an emerging label to an established maison with a clear identity and a strong creative team. The collection was designed not just for runway impact, but with real consumers in mind—featuring garments ready to wear exactly as shown.

The Spring 2026 proposal stood out for its unexpectedly harmonious colour palette. Classic tones were mixed with unconventional greens and yellows, achieving a sophisticated balance that captures the essence of Parisian style. Clear nods to the 1970s were seen in pointed collars, suede overshirts, fitted coats, and A-line skirts. Loose silhouettes dominated the collection, with shirtdresses, structured blazers, and oversized Bermuda shorts crafted from cotton poplin, linen, and denim.
Despite threats of rain, the show proceeded smoothly. Models walked around the equestrian statue of Louis XIV, presenting a collection designed to suit both the Parisian weather and the rhythms of city life. Lightweight pieces, such as translucent windbreakers, became key elements of the functional styling that defines the brand.
Alexandre Mattiussi reaffirmed that Ami Paris is not interested in creating fashion fantasies detached from reality. Each piece is part of a coherent vision of wearable, honest, and accessible fashion. This commitment to authenticity is not just a commercial strategy but a creative philosophy that resonates with an audience who value style without compromising practicality.
The collection also included nostalgic cultural references. A T-shirt bearing the phrase “Thank You For Being a Friend” summed up the friendly, down-to-earth spirit Mattiussi aims to convey. With this collection, Ami Paris reaffirms its position as a modern fashion house—deeply connected to its surroundings, and dedicated to dressing real people, in real places, with real stories.
