Nelson Peltz comes to his daughter and Brooklyn Beckham’s defence amid rumours, public accusations and an increasingly exposed family rift.
The conflict between Brooklyn Beckham and his family continues to unfold, and this time it is Nelson Peltz, Nicola Peltz’s father, who has spoken out publicly. He did so during a conversation at a financial event in January, where he was directly asked about the media attention surrounding his daughter and the Beckhams since the couple’s wedding in 2022.
With irony, Peltz downplayed the media noise. “Has my family been in the press lately? I hadn’t noticed at all,” he joked. However, he was clear about his position. “My advice is to stay completely out of the press,” he said, before stressing that both his daughter and his son-in-law deserve stability and happiness. “My daughter is wonderful, Brooklyn is wonderful, and I hope they have a long and happy marriage together.”
His comments come after Brooklyn Beckham made a series of serious accusations public. In messages shared on social media, he claimed that his parents had tried to stop his relationship since 2019 and that his brothers had consistently disrespected his marriage. He also described tensions during the wedding, including the cancellation of a dress designed by Brooklyn Beckham and an uncomfortable moment during the couple’s first dance.
Brooklyn was unequivocal in explaining his distance. “For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety disappeared,” he wrote — a statement that suggests the rupture is not temporary, but deeply emotional.
