Singer SZA leads Vans’ new spring campaign dedicated to the iconic Authentic silhouette, alongside artists and key figures from skate culture.

SZA has once again joined forces with Vans to front the brand’s new ‘Off the Wall’ campaign for the spring season. The American artist appears as the central figure of a visual project celebrating the legacy of the Authentic, one of the most emblematic designs in the Californian label’s history.

The campaign brings together a creative community made up of musicians and influential figures from the skate world, including Hayley Williams, lead vocalist of Paramore, Franz Lyons from Turnstile, drummer Travis Barker, as well as professional skateboarder Lizzie Armanto and rider T-Funk. Together, they reinterpret the classic silhouette through a series of images exploring the connection between music, urban culture and personal style.

The project also strengthens SZA’s relationship with the brand after she was named Vans’ artistic director, a collaboration that had already attracted attention during Paris Fashion Week, where the singer appeared wearing customised trainers known as “VanSZA.”

In this new campaign, the focus is placed on the versatility of the Authentic model, which this year celebrates 60 years as one of the pillars of Vans’ catalogue. The new designs feature combinations ranging from the classic checkerboard print to botanical motifs, alongside knitted fabric versions that introduce a contemporary aesthetic.

The trainers presented in the campaign will be released in two phases. The first selection of models will be available from 12 March, while additional colours and variations are set to launch on 2 April, reinforcing Vans’ commitment to maintaining its legacy within contemporary culture.
