Céline Dion confirms her comeback with Paris 2026 shows after years away due to illness.

Céline Dion has officially confirmed her return to the stage with a series of concerts in Paris, marking one of the most anticipated moments of her recent career. The announcement was anything but conventional: it arrived via a message projected onto the Eiffel Tower on her birthday — a symbolic gesture that brought the city to a standstill.

In the video, the artist addressed her fans directly with an intimate tone: “Over these years I’ve felt your support, your energy, your love… you’ve helped me in ways I can’t describe.” But it was her next line that confirmed what many had been hoping for: “This year I receive the greatest gift of my life… to see you again, to sing for you again in Paris from September.”

The residency will take place at the Paris La Défense Arena, with a capacity of 40,000 people, across five weeks between September and October 2026. In total, ten dates will mark Dion’s return to live performance, featuring a repertoire that blends her greatest hits in both French and English, under the creative direction of Willo Perron.

The announcement followed a private event at Café de l’Homme, overlooking the Eiffel Tower, where selected guests were given an exclusive preview before the message was revealed publicly alongside a light show illuminating the monument. At the same time, hundreds of fans gathered at the Trocadéro, driven by rumours that had been circulating across the city for days.

Dion’s return has been building gradually. Posters featuring her song titles appeared throughout Paris in the days leading up to the reveal, while her social media reinforced her connection to the city. These concerts mark her first major run since the cancellation of the ‘Courage World Tour’ in 2020, initially halted by the pandemic and later by health issues. In 2022, she was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological condition that forced her to step away from the stage.

Since then, her comeback has been carefully paced. A defining moment came during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where she performed ‘Hymne à l’amour’ in front of the Eiffel Tower — a performance that reignited global anticipation.

Tickets will be available in presale from 7 April, with general sale opening on 10 April.
