Cara Delevingne is back in front of the camera as the face of Armedangels’ latest campaign, introducing the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2026 DetoxDenim collection with a concept designed to challenge the traditional rules of the industry. Titled ‘Never the Expected’, the campaign places the model and actress inside a fictional laboratory where fashion, experimentation and innovation come together.

Known as the DetoxDenim Lab, the setting represents the work the Cologne-based label has been developing around denim since 2018. Over the years, Armedangels has explored materials, manufacturing processes, washes and finishes, while also looking at areas such as garment repair and resale.

For Autumn/Winter 2026, that research introduces several new developments. Among them is the arrival of selvedge denim, alongside an increased use of SaXcell, a new-generation lyocell fibre that makes it possible to incorporate recycled textile waste into new garments.

The choice of Cara Delevingne is no coincidence either. Her career has extended far beyond the catwalk into acting and music, a creative side that takes on new relevance with the arrival of her debut album, ‘Not Normal’. Her ability to move between different disciplines connects directly with the idea behind ‘Never the Expected’: rejecting predictability and finding new ways to approach familiar formats.

“Armedangels does things in a way that most brands simply don’t,” Delevingne explains. “And that matters, because you actually know what you’re wearing and how it was made.”

One of the collection’s key elements is SaXcell. Its composition includes 30% recycled cotton textile waste and 70% FSC-certified wood pulp. The resulting fibre is designed to retain a soft feel, fluid drape and quality comparable to virgin material. Armedangels first introduced the material commercially in Spring 2025 and has progressively increased its use since then.

Selvedge denim is another significant addition. Traditionally produced on specialised looms to create cleaner, more durable edges, Armedangels reinterprets the technique using organic cotton. The familiar red line commonly associated with selvedge jeans is also replaced with a yellow one, turning a construction detail into a recognisable element of the brand’s identity.

Visually, the season moves towards deep indigo washes and vintage-inspired finishes. The womenswear collection introduces several silhouettes, from the Aalthea barrel fit, with references to classic workwear, to the wide-leg Enijaa and Astraeaas trousers and the straight-cut Aikaala.

Menswear continues to experiment with volume through Maakxy, featuring a relaxed and slightly tapered construction; Jaameo, with a baggier silhouette; and the new Maadox, which returns to a more traditional straight-leg shape.
