Kendall Jenner addresses rumours about Cara Delevingne, opens up about her sexuality and admits she wouldn’t rule out experimenting with a woman one day.
Kendall Jenner has spoken with unusual candour about her love life and sexuality. During the episode of The Kardashians aired on Thursday, 15 October, the model reflected on the rumours that had romantically linked her to Cara Delevingne for years, despite the pair being close friends within the fashion industry.
“We’ve been friends for a really long time, about 11 or 12 years,” Kendall explained. According to the model, Delevingne played an important role during the early stages of her modelling career: “She kind of took me under her wing and made me feel really safe and welcome in the fashion world.”
Their close friendship eventually sparked speculation that their relationship might be more than platonic. Jenner decided to address the rumours directly: “We should talk about this. Because of how much we love each other, people still think to this day that I’m a lesbian. I’m not.”
However, the model also made it clear that she does not feel the need to set rigid boundaries when it comes to the future. “I wouldn’t be opposed to having fun with a girl,” she admitted, before reiterating that she had never been romantically involved with Cara.
“There’s definitely a rumour that she and I dated or something in the past, and it’s not true. It’s not that I would have had any problem dating Cara, but we’ve always just been best friends,” she explained. “I love Cara. She’s like my sister, and that never happened.”
Kendall then brought a touch of humour to the conversation, describing the idea of being a lesbian as “fun and wonderful”. She even joked that it might make life easier because, in her words, “men are a mess”.
The model went on to clarify her position once again: “I have nothing against having sex with Cara. I’ve just never felt the desire to have sex with women.” She then left the door open with a simple “Never say never, right?”
Her comments come as Kendall continues her relationship with Jacob Elordi. The couple have become increasingly open about their romance in recent months and were recently photographed walking hand in hand and sharing affectionate moments during an evening out in Paris, coinciding with Fashion Week.
