As a British person, July 4th is probably not a holiday that Prince Harry would typically celebrate. However, it holds a special significance for him due to his connection with Meghan Markle.
While Americans across the country set off fireworks and enjoy a day off work, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex likely remember their second date, which took place on the holiday.
On that date, they had a pivotal conversation that set them on the path to being happily married and having two children by 2023!
People noted that Prince Harry revealed the information about the couple’s second date in his memoir, “Spare,” which was published earlier this year.
He explained that the date took place on the 4th, just one day after their first date. He fondly recalled bringing cupcakes for Meghan and feeling an instant spark between them.
It turns out that it was a formative date for them.
“As the night wore on, we had a very frank discussion. There was no avoiding it. She reached for my cheek and said, ‘What are we going to do?’“
Of course, seven years later, we all know how it worked out!
