A$AP Rocky unveils his first full metal eyewear collection for Ray-Ban, fronting a nostalgic campaign with rapper Nas.
When Ray-Ban appointed A$AP Rocky as its first-ever Global Creative Director, it signalled more than a one-off collaboration. A year later, that vision materialises with the launch of the Ray-Ban Metals Collection — his first complete line — introduced through a campaign featuring hip-hop icon Nas.
The campaign is not merely a lookbook, but a short film steeped in nostalgia, exploring the intersection of style, identity and urban culture. Nas’s involvement is deliberate, reflecting the 1990s heritage that directly informs the collection’s aesthetic.



The eyewear introduces slim metal frames, refined wire constructions and rimless silhouettes that recall minimalist 90s design codes. Moving away from the bold, oversized shapes that dominated the past decade, Rocky embraces lighter lines, oval curves and narrow rectangular lenses, often finished in polished gold tones.
The direction is intentionally understated. The collection prioritises discreet luxury over maximalism, with sleek metallic detailing, smaller proportions and a quiet elegance that feels closer to tailoring than traditional streetwear.
Key pieces include round and rectangular rimless styles highlighting exposed gold structures, alongside a limited-edition futuristic wraparound design available at selected retailers. All models are offered in both optical and sunglass versions, in brown and black lens options.
The release follows an especially active period for the artist. He recently staged his AWGE show during New York Fashion Week inside a former Manhattan bank and introduced his jewellery line PAVE NITEO, which he even wore to a Chanel haute couture presentation.
A$AP Rocky’s role at Ray-Ban reflects a broader industry shift: musicians are no longer just endorsing products — they are shaping them creatively. In his case, the project bridges music, cultural archive and industrial design.
