The South Korean group conquered the 2026 American Music Awards, winning every category they were nominated in and reaffirming their global dominance.

BTS have just delivered one of the biggest nights of their career at the 2026 American Music Awards. The South Korean group not only took home Artist of the Year, one of the ceremony’s most prestigious honours, but also achieved a clean sweep by winning every category in which they were nominated during the event held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

BTS set the tone for the ceremony almost from the opening moments. The show kicked off with a spectacular pre-recorded performance filmed during one of the group’s recent concerts at Allegiant Stadium, further cementing the cultural and live-performance impact of a band that continues to redefine the boundaries of the global K-pop phenomenon.

Alongside securing Artist of the Year, BTS also triumphed in the Song of the Summer category thanks to ‘Swim’, a single that became one of the season’s most talked-about tracks due to its international success and huge digital impact. The group also collected the award for Best Male K-pop Artist, reinforcing their undisputed leadership within the Korean music industry on a global scale.

The ceremony also saw BTS appear on stage at several key moments throughout the evening. In addition to accepting multiple awards live, the group stepped into the role of presenters, handing an award to another artist and further solidifying their prominence during a night shaped by some of the biggest names in global entertainment.

The 2026 AMAs, broadcast live on CBS and hosted by Queen Latifah, brought together some of the most influential figures in music and entertainment. Although Taylor Swift initially led the nominations with eight nods, it was BTS who ultimately delivered one of the evening’s most defining moments.
