Diesel reinvents the low waist in Milan with a daring collection, trompe l’oeil effects, and a chaotic runway that merges fashion, urban art, and rebellion.
Diesel has stunned at Milan Fashion Week with its Autumn-Winter 2025 collection, where the low waist is reimagined through a chaotic, rebellious, and deconstructed approach. Glenn Martens, the brand’s creative director, has taken the concept beyond jeans, incorporating it into coats, dresses, and suspended skirts, striking a balance between streetwear and high fashion.

The show unfolded on a striking stage: 3.2 kilometres of fabric covered in graffiti created by 7,000 artists. In this urban and subversive atmosphere, models walked the runway wearing white contact lenses and Joker-style painted smiles, intensifying the apocalyptic aesthetic.

The garments, crafted from tweed, treated denim, and trompe l’oeil effects, evoke a sense of controlled wear and destruction. Standout pieces include silicone jumpers simulating chest hair and reflective denim fabrics, creating an unexpected visual play. With this collection, Martens showcases his ability to transform the everyday into something innovative and provocative.
