Loro Piana kicked off the Christmas season in London with a dinner at the ‘Royal Academy of Arts’, celebrating art, craftsmanship, and its partnership with Harrods.

The prestigious Italian brand Loro Piana, globally renowned for its luxurious materials like cashmere and vicuña, inaugurated the holiday season in London with a festive dinner at the ‘Royal Academy of Arts’, located in historic Piccadilly. The evening, a showcase of art and sophistication, also marked a new collaboration between the brand and the Academy’s schools, celebrating Loro Piana’s holiday presence at Harrods.

Cashmere and Culture at the Royal Academy

While some might think it’s too early to decorate for Christmas, Loro Piana made it clear that now is the perfect time. The Academy’s entrance was transformed with elegant warmth, filled with sparkling Christmas trees and crystal chandeliers. An a cappella choir performed seasonal songs during the cocktail hour as guests arrived.

Damien Bertrand, CEO of Loro Piana, welcomed guests, emphasizing the Academy’s significance as “a place of creation, learning, and debate” and honoring its rich history, which dates back to its founding in 1768 by a group of international artists, including its first president, Sir Joshua Reynolds. Through this collaboration, Loro Piana will fund scholarships and grants for students of the Royal Academy Schools, the UK’s oldest art schools, and support the Weston Studio’s public program, a space for public projects and exhibitions within the Academy.

An Evening of Glamour and Style

The guest list included renowned personalities such as Luisa and Vittoria Loro Piana, Kit Harington, Edie Campbell, and Freida Pinto, among others. The event brought together friends of the brand and clients from across Europe for an evening celebrating the luxury of a life surrounded by cashmere.

Conversations centered on topics such as the quality of fibers and the pleasure of living with natural, high-quality materials, which are central to Loro Piana’s identity. With this event, the brand not only inaugurated the holiday season in London but also reaffirmed its commitment to art, learning, and the preservation of artisanal tradition—values that form the core of its identity.

With this dinner at the Royal Academy, Loro Piana highlighted not only its luxurious materials and dedication to design but also its tangible support for emerging British art talents. A memorable beginning to the holiday season, blending elegance, tradition, and a clear vision of a future rich in creativity and artisanal excellence.
