The Haute Couture Spring Summer 2026 collection pays tribute to the free-spirited glamour of the 1970s through luminous silhouettes, exquisite techniques and an untamed femininity

With its Spring–Summer 2026 haute couture offering, Elie Saab presents a collection titled ‘Golden Summer Nights of ’71’, reinterpreting the jet-set era through a sensual and sophisticated lens. The proposal unfolds like a nocturnal tableau charged with music, movement and desire, where haute couture merges with a hedonistic spirit to define a woman who is free, magnetic and fully aware of her power.

The designer traces a visual journey that connects the islands of Milos with the vibrant exoticism of Morocco, evoking gilded summers spent among artists, adventurers and the cultural elite of the 1970s. Each look captures the atmosphere of those endless nights, when luxury was not rigid but intuitive, emotional and deeply personal.

The collection is built around self-expression. Leather is worn like jewellery, woven textures converse with abstract prints, and ethnic-inspired motifs are illuminated with cascading crystals. Gold and silver tones intertwine to create an enveloping visual richness, while fluid dresses reveal open backs or embroidered details that turn skin into an essential part of the design.

Technical mastery is evident in every garment. Ombré chiffon shifts hue with movement, embroidered metal mesh reflects light like a star-filled sky, and layered constructions add depth and drama. Evening gowns are paired with elongated sleeveless jackets or cropped gilets, sometimes completed by feathered coats of striking intensity.

The show concludes with an ethereal bride emerging in a beige rosé gown, intricately embroidered with stones and lace, crowned by a veil as light as air. A final image that distils the essence of the collection: pure beauty, seductive freedom and a summer night destined to linger in memory.
