Emily in Paris Season Four is on the way. Here are all the details you won’t want to miss.

Netflix’s beloved series is making a comeback – here are all the details you might have missed.

We haven’t even hit the halfway mark of the year, and it’s already shaping up to be a big one for highly successful TV series: from the glamorous and gossip-filled Feud: Capote vs. The Swans to the much-anticipated return of Bridgerton. And soon, we’ll witness the fourth installment of Emily in Paris, the Netflix classic beloved by all.

The fashion (courtesy of Patricia Field, the mastermind behind Sex and the City’s iconic wardrobe moments), the serious drama, the “will they or won’t they?” relationship between Emily and Gabriel, and Sylvie’s spectacular appearance as the most glamorous French woman have kept us hooked for three seasons.

Filming for the fourth season has already wrapped, and Netflix has released a batch of preview images to whet the audience’s appetite. Here’s what we know about the fourth series so far, from the cast to the trailer, release date, and plot…

The Trailer

There’s still no official trailer, but in a sneak peek shared by Netflix at its Tudum festival in 2023, Collins addressed the major cliffhangers of the third season. “So much happened that we need answers to,” she says. “Is Alfie still heartbroken? Will Gabriel get his Michelin star? Will Mindy and the band go to Eurovision? And what about Camille? Will Sylvie’s rekindled love last? I’d love to tell you more, but you’ll have to wait to find out.” It’s safe to say that the fourth season has a lot to unravel.

The Fashion

Believe it or not, fashion will be even bigger and bolder in the fourth season. “Emily is really finding her own path, asserting herself, becoming much stronger with a style that reinterprets the codes of Parisian fashion,” costume designer Marylin Fitoussi told Tudum.com. “And our motto obviously was to have fun, but to take risks to the fullest.”

The Plot

“After the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s failed wedding, Emily is reeling: she has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel is expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed,” confirmed a press release from Netflix. “At work, Sylvie is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel changes. Mindy and the band prepare for Eurovision, but when they run out of funds, they are forced to be more frugal. The chemistry between Emily and Gabriel is undeniable as they work towards a Michelin star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of…”

Collins herself hinted that the drama will only continue to escalate in the fourth season, suggesting that Emily’s life will take “some unexpected turns” and teasing both a Roman holiday and tough decisions for the expatriate. “Emily will have to decide if everything she’s ever wanted is really what she needs,” she said.

The Cast

Most of the main characters are returning, including Lily Collins, Ashley Park (Mindy), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Camille Razat (Camille), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), and Lucien Laviscount (Alfie).

One cast member who likely won’t be returning is Kate Walsh, as the third season saw Madeline deciding to close the branch and return to Chicago. But there’s always the possibility that Emily’s former boss may appear for a scene or two.

Release Date

The season will be released in two parts: the first will arrive on August 15th, followed by the second batch of episodes on September 12th.

While we wait, why not treat yourself to rewatching the third season, which is still available on Netflix? After all, it never hurts to refresh your memory on all that drama, and of course, those outfits.
