Ermanno Scervino’s Fall/Winter 2024 Collection, titled ‘Fashion Atlas,’ merges strength, seduction, and corsetry into sculptural and feminine haute couture garments.

This season, Ermanno Scervino explores the concept of clothing as armor, presenting pieces that balance sculptural traits with a tough-edged femininity. The collection teeters on the precipice between protection and revelation.

Designs focus on the power of the female form, intellect, wit, and seduction. Scervino’s craftsmanship is reflected in the tailoring and use of heritage menswear fabrics, such as pinstripes and herringbone wool, transformed into garments that sculpt and caress the body. Hourglass-shaped blazers are evident, as well as herringbone coats with dropped shoulders and enveloping corset dresses.

Corsetry, a recurring element in Scervino’s work, emerges as a symbol of seduction, appearing in various iterations throughout the Fall/Winter 2024 collection, from double wool bras paired with intarsia midi skirts to hand-quilted nude-colored dresses and embroidered organza dresses.

Materials like crocodile-printed leather and sheepskin serve as metaphors for adaptability and resilience, offering protection while highlighting the sensual nuances of the collection. Playing with proportions is further heightened by accessories such as fluffy faux fur après-ski boots and high-heeled booties, complemented by sheepskin and Mongolian fur jackets.
