FX will premiere ‘Grotesquerie,’ the new horror series by Ryan Murphy starring Niecy Nash-Betts, on September 25.
FX has announced the premiere date for Ryan Murphy’s new horror and drama series, ‘Grotesquerie.’ The premiere is scheduled for September 25 at 10 p.m. on FX, and it will be available the following day on Hulu. Internationally, the series will be available on Disney+ at a later date yet to be confirmed.
The series, consisting of 10 episodes, was first revealed in February when Murphy shared a teaser on his Instagram account. The cast includes Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Micaela Diamond, and Nicholas Alexander Chavez, among others.
‘Grotesquerie’ follows Detective Lois Tryon, played by Nash-Betts, as she investigates a series of gruesome crimes in a small community. What begins as a routine investigation turns into a personal battle when Lois feels that these crimes are designed to affect her directly. As the plot unfolds, Lois teams up with Sister Megan, a nun with a complicated past, played by Micaela Diamond. Together, they discover that the crimes hide a sinister network that defies all logic.
With ‘Grotesquerie,’ Murphy adds another title to his prolific career, joining other series set to launch this fall, including 9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey on ABC.
