A limited edition that combines horological luxury with Japanese tradition, highlighting the beauty of Washi paper.

Grand Seiko introduces the SBGJ283, a limited edition exclusive to the APAC region, inspired by the traditional Japanese art of Washi paper. This timepiece, nicknamed ‘Washi Paper’, honours the meticulous craftsmanship that defines Japanese culture.

The SBGJ283 features a refined textured dial that evokes the delicate irregularities of Washi paper, achieving an aesthetic that blends tradition with modernity. The pearlescent white dial, with its subtle sheen, provides an elegant and distinctive finish. This model follows the tradition of other special editions in the 44GS series, which explore artistic concepts with carefully crafted designs.

Limited to only 150 pieces, the watch is powered by the automatic calibre 9386, offering a 55-hour power reserve. The 40mm Ever-Brilliant steel case is paired with a stainless steel bracelet and an additional brown crocodile leather strap.

Priced at 11,000 SGD (approximately 8,116 USD), the ‘Washi Paper’ model will be released at Grand Seiko and selected retailers in the APAC region. This piece celebrates the brand’s dedication to Japanese craftsmanship and is set to be a coveted gem for collectors.
