Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are back with an unexpected twist in Freakier Friday, filled with laughter and magic.
The return of Freakier Friday is here, and with it, a new version full of surprises and laughter. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan reprise their iconic roles as Tess and Anna Coleman, respectively, in this highly anticipated sequel. In the storyline, both visit a psychic medium (Vanessa Bayer), who reveals that their life lines suggest they have walked in each other’s shoes before, and will do so again—this time with an unexpected twist.
After an electrical storm, Tess and Anna wake up not as themselves, but as two teenagers: Harper and Lily. Harper (Julia Butters) is Anna’s daughter, while Lily (Sophia Hammons) is the daughter of Anna’s fiancé. “My face looks like a Birkin bag that’s been left out in the sun to rot,” says Lily, played by Tess.
“Jamie and I, even during the script reading, were grinning from ear to ear,” shares Lohan. “I think we didn’t act very well because we were so happy. But the movie is a lot of fun,” she adds.
The film also features a star-studded cast including Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Mark Harmon. Coming to cinemas on August 8, Freakier Friday promises more laughs and life lessons about youth and adulthood.
