Jessie J has once again proved that her voice resonates far beyond the stage, especially when it comes to facing life with courage. In early June 2025, the British singer revealed she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer—a revelation that shocked her fans and the entertainment world alike. Now, after being hospitalised on 3 August due to fluid in her lungs, her health is once again making headlines.
“I want to share it with my fans and the people who care about me. I’ve always shared everything I go through,” she said in an emotional Instagram video. The 37-year-old explained that the diagnosis came just before the release of her track ‘No Secrets’, and while she’s still processing it, speaking about it publicly is helping: “Sharing connects me to other people, to their stories, and makes me feel less alone.”
Even in the midst of pain, Jessie hasn’t lost her signature sense of humour: “It’s quite a dramatic way to get a boob job,” she joked, announcing she’d be stepping back from the spotlight to undergo surgery. “After the Summertime Ball, I’ll disappear for a bit… and I’ll be back with huge boobs and more music,” she laughed.
