The JW Anderson and Loewe designer received the Designer of the Year award, standing out against competitors such as Miuccia Prada and Rick Owens. In his acceptance speech, Anderson dedicated the accolade to the legacy of Tom Ford and expressed how fashion continues to be his greatest daily inspiration.
The ceremony, organised by the British Fashion Council (BFC), celebrated global talent with historic highlights. Alex Consani made history as the first trans woman to win the ‘Model of the Year award’, delivering a message of inclusion and gratitude. Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky was honoured as Cultural Innovator for his significant impact on contemporary fashion and culture.
Other notable figures included Priya Ahluwalia, winner of the New Establishment Menswear Award, and Marco Capaldo of 16Arlington, recognised for emerging womenswear. Special awards highlighted Tyler Mitchell, Remo Ruffini, and Gucci for their creativity and leadership.
