Kate Middleton celebrates British sustainable fashion with an elegant ensemble by Victoria Beckham at a royal ceremony in London.
Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, reaffirmed her support for British fashion by attending the Queen Elizabeth II British Design Award wearing an elegant olive green outfit from Victoria Beckham‘s Spring 2025 collection. The event, held in London, is part of the annual impact announcement by the BFC Foundation.
During the ceremony, the princess presented the award to Patrick McDowell, a designer known for his commitment to sustainability and innovation. This is the second time Middleton has presented this award, having first done so in 2022 to Saul Nash.
McDowell, who wore a suit made from surplus fabric from Burberry, is a pioneer of responsible design. Since launching his brand in 2018 after graduating from Central Saint Martins, he has collaborated with biotech and textile recycling companies, transforming discarded materials into modern pieces. Celebrities such as Lady Gaga and Keira Knightley have worn his creations.
The award, created in collaboration with the Royal Family and handcrafted in Birmingham, symbolizes the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II and the future of conscious fashion. Middleton, with her wardrobe choice, reinforces the connection between the royal family and support for designers committed to positive change.
