Lionsgate has unveiled the new trailer for ‘The Housemaid’, the psychological thriller starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, directed by Paul Feig.
Based on Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel, the film presents an elegant yet disturbing story, with Sydney Sweeney portraying one of the most enigmatic characters of her recent career.
The plot follows Millie (Sweeney), a young woman trying to escape a haunting past who accepts a live-in job with the wealthy Winchester family. What initially appears to be an ideal refuge quickly turns into a nightmare — secrets, manipulation and a power game hidden behind the family’s immaculate façade.
The cast features Amanda Seyfried as Nina Winchester, a character as magnetic as she is unpredictable; Brandon Sklenar as Andrew Winchester; along with Michele Morrone and Elizabeth Perkins, completing this story filled with tension and moral ambiguity.
Under Paul Feig’s direction, the film immerses itself in a suffocating atmosphere where nothing is as it seems. The trailer teases a narrative full of twists, uneasy silences and unexpected revelations that explore the complex dynamics of control, dependence and desire.
With its blend of domestic intrigue, veiled sensuality and ever-evolving mystery, ‘The Housemaid’ is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about thrillers of the season. What are the Winchesters really hiding? And how far is Millie willing to go to survive?
