Nicole Kidman reveals intimate details about her relationship with her daughters and her role as a mother and steadfast guide.
Nicole Kidman, 57, opens up like never before. The ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ actress shared heartfelt insights into her role as a mother: “I’m very close to my girls. I sit on their beds and we talk about the most intimate subjects; I’m lucky to be their guide,” she told Allure.
Nicole, mother to Sunday Rose (16) and Faith (14) with Keith Urban, and to Isabella (32) and Connor (30) from her marriage to Tom Cruise, also discussed her unique way of setting boundaries with them: “If they want to tell me to be quiet, they can. I’m capable of apologising to them. But I can also stand firm with them. I love the relationship we have.”
But that’s not all. When asked about the possibility of working on a joint project with her husband Keith Urban, Nicole was clear: “We’re together in life, so we don’t need to do a show together. Our life is already a performance,” she told People, shutting down any speculation about seeing them share the screen. The actress also spoke about the success of the second season of Nine Perfect Strangers and what it means to her as a woman and artist.
Nicole and Keith, married since 2006, have become one of the most stable couples in the entertainment industry, though, as she makes clear, they prefer to keep their personal life separate from the professional spotlight.
