Sabrina Carpenter sparks both controversy and admiration with the cover of ‘Man’s Best Friend’ and replies to criticism with humour.

Sabrina Carpenter is once again at the centre of discussion after revealing the provocative cover for her upcoming album Man’s Best Friend, set to be released on 29 August 2025. The image, which shows her in a suggestive pose while a man pulls her hair, sparked mixed reactions on social media.

One user on X commented: “Does she have a personality beyond sex?”, to which Carpenter responded directly and sarcastically: “Yes, girl, and it’s reeeeally good.”

The Espresso singer had already addressed similar criticism in her Rolling Stone interview about her song Juno and the performances from her Short n’ Sweet tour. “They say, ‘All she does is sing about that.’ But those are the songs you’ve made popular. You clearly love sex. You’re obsessed with it. It’s in my show,” she said.

Carpenter also pointed out that her show offers more than just sexual content: “There are introspective moments, ballads… but you only post the Juno positions.”

With her provocative style and authenticity, Sabrina Carpenter not only dominates the charts, but also cultural conversations. The single Manchild is out now.
