Sarah Jessica Parker designs jewellery with lab-grown diamonds for Astrea London, promoting conscious luxury and transformable elegance without labels.
Sarah Jessica Parker, a fashion and film icon, has taken a new step in her creative career: she becomes Global Creative Director of Astrea London, a British fine jewellery house specialising in lab-grown diamonds, which will open its first boutique in Dubai this autumn. The actress, world-renowned for her role as Carrie Bradshaw, will also design a capsule collection of twelve exclusive pieces featuring certified D-IF quality diamonds, the finest available on the market.
“Lab-grown diamonds have the same DNA as those mined from the earth. Only without harming the planet,” Parker insists, now declaring herself deeply informed and inspired by this ethical, brilliant alternative. Speaking to Vogue Arabia, the actress admitted she once had doubts, but her view changed upon discovering the creative and sustainable possibilities of these cultivated stones.

The collection, which will feature transformable necklaces and vintage-inspired pieces, aims to redefine the concept of contemporary luxury: jewels to be inherited, adapted and cherished without fear or pretension. “How many lives can a jewel have for one person?” asks Parker. In her vision, necklaces can be worn up to seven different ways, shifting between day, night and the personality of the wearer.
Founded in 2023 by Nathalie Morrison, Astrea London stands out not only for the quality of its diamonds — each certified by GIA or IGI — but also for its social commitment. From supporting orphaned girls to offering experiences such as the Seven Carats Afternoon Tea at its Dubai laboratory, the brand embraces a philosophy where philanthropy, beauty and technology proudly coexist.
“There’s no need to put hearts around the word ‘lab-grown’ to make it sound pretty. It already is. And it’s the future.” That is how Morrison sums up the spirit of this new jewellery era, where a stone does not need to be torn from the earth to be valuable. In a market increasingly open to transparency, Astrea — with Parker as its muse — seeks to lead the change with sophistication, storytelling and brilliance.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s debut collection for Astrea London will be unveiled at the end of this year, coinciding with the opening of the boutique at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah in Dubai.
