Sydney Sweeney leads the provocative cast of The Housemaid, the upcoming psychological thriller set to hit cinemas on 19 December.

With a cast as enigmatic as it is intriguing, ‘The Housemaid‘ – Sydney Sweeney’s latest big-screen project – has begun to build anticipation with the release of its first character posters, unveiled by Lionsgate as part of the promotional campaign ahead of its festive premiere.

Based on Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel, the film draws us into a narrative where appearances deceive and perfection comes at a price. Millie, played by Sweeney, attempts to leave her troubled past behind by accepting a live-in maid position at the luxurious home of Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar). What initially appears to be the perfect job soon spirals into a nightmare of scandal, psychological games and simmering sexual tension.

The cast also features Michele Morrone and Elizabeth Perkins, each with their own striking posters hinting at the dramatic weight and mystery of their characters. The visual design reinforces the film’s sleek, shadowy tone, foreshadowing a sophisticated aesthetic for a story steeped in tension.

Targeting audiences hungry for thrillers layered with manipulation and desire, The Housemaid promises a cocktail of closely guarded secrets and unpredictable twists, crafted to keep viewers on edge until the very last moment.

Scheduled for release on 19 December, it positions itself as one of the standout suspense offerings to close the year.

Will Millie be a victim, or a player in this dangerous game of power? One thing seems certain: nothing is quite as it seems.
