Lorde announces Ultrasound, an ambitious world tour that coincides with the release of her long-awaited album Virgin, out this June.

The New Zealand alt-pop icon is officially back. With a string of dates at iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks and London’s O2 Arena, Lorde is embarking on her most ambitious tour to date. Ultrasound will see her headlining many of these stages for the very first time.

This highly anticipated announcement follows the reveal of Virgin, her next studio album, set for release on 27th June. The first single, What Was That—co-produced by Jim-E Stack and Dan Nigro—has already been praised for its raw emotional energy and synth-laced warmth. Publications like ELLE, NME, Clash Magazine and NYLON agree: Lorde is stepping fully back into the spotlight.

Tickets go on pre-sale from Wednesday 14th May at 10am local time, with general sale launching on Friday 16th May. Select dates will feature support from artists including Blood Orange, Nilüfer Yanya, Empress Of and The Japanese House.

Virgin marks a bold new chapter—and with Ultrasound, Lorde is ready to own the stage once more.
