GAP is reborn in haute couture under the direction of Zac Posen, conquering red carpets and redefining its identity with the GapStudio line.

GAP, the iconic casual clothing brand, is experiencing a surprising revival in luxury fashion under the creative direction of Zac Posen. Since his appointment in 2024, the designer has transformed the brand with his GapStudio line, a haute couture proposal that has taken red carpets by storm.

This year, Timothée Chalamet dazzled at the 2025 Oscars nominees’ dinner in an exclusive GapStudio ensemble: a duchess satin trucker jacket and matching trousers. Actress Da’Vine Joy Randolph also turned heads at the Met Gala in a stunning draped denim gown, while Anne Hathaway made waves at a Bulgari event in a structured shirt dress.

GAP’s strategy goes beyond the runway: its foray into luxury fashion includes collaborations with major jewellery houses such as Cartier and exclusive launches in high demand. The pre-sale of Chalamet’s ensemble, priced at $198 for the jacket and $128 for the trousers, reflects the brand’s renewed status.

With this transformation, GAP is leaving behind its image as an affordable fashion brand and establishing itself as a key player in contemporary haute couture.
