LISA unveils PRESS PLAY, her new six-track EP, accompanied by the spectacular Tarantino music video, as she prepares for her historic Las Vegas residency.
LISA continues to push the boundaries of her solo career with the release of PRESS PLAY, a new EP that transforms music into a cinematic experience. The BLACKPINK member unveiled the project on 23 October 2026, through LLOUD and RCA Records, alongside an ambitious music video for Tarantino, one of the standout tracks from the release.
Far from creating a conventional musical project, the Thai-born K-pop star has conceived PRESS PLAY as a film divided into six chapters, with each song representing a different scene. The concept reinforces her interest in visual storytelling and demonstrates how her creative universe continues to evolve beyond K-pop.
The EP opens with SaWaDiKa, followed by V12 and Cobra, before reaching Tarantino in fourth position. The journey continues with Cut U Off and concludes with Sweat, creating a sequence designed to be experienced from beginning to end.
This structure allows each track to retain its own identity while contributing to a broader narrative. The project also incorporates references to LISA’s Thai roots, alongside elements inspired by her personal experiences and artistic evolution.
However, one of the most talked-about aspects of the release is the Tarantino music video, a production that pays tribute to the cinematic universe of director Quentin Tarantino.
In the video, LISA appears inside a hotel with a seemingly straightforward mission: to deliver a letter to her favourite director. What begins as a journey through the building quickly develops into a series of confrontations, chases and elaborately choreographed fight sequences.
The singer takes on numerous opponents as she moves through different spaces, performing scenes that evoke the physical intensity, theatricality and stylised action associated with the American filmmaker.
The result is a visual production that combines music, acting and cinematic storytelling, placing LISA at the centre of a narrative in which movement becomes just as important as the song itself.
The release follows the success of SaWaDiKa, a track whose title references the traditional Thai greeting. Its accompanying music video, filmed in Bangkok, represents a direct connection to the artist’s home country.
According to figures released following its premiere, the video attracted more than 70.8 million YouTube views within its first 24 hours. The song also debuted at number 69 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming LISA’s highest-charting entry on the ranking at the time.
The artist also performed the track at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she received the Best Pop award for Dream, featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi, becoming the first solo K-pop artist to achieve the distinction.
But her musical schedule does not end there. In November, LISA will launch VIVA LA LISA, her concert residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
