Lady Gaga takes over as CEO of Haus Labs following Ben Jones’s departure, marking the beginning of a new chapter for her cosmetics company.

Lady Gaga is taking another major step in her business career as she officially becomes the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Haus Labs, her cosmetics brand. The American singer and actress is taking executive control of the company following the departure of Ben Jones, the brand’s co-founder and former CEO, who stepped down from his position in early October.

The appointment, which takes effect immediately, marks a significant change in the leadership structure of Haus Labs, as exclusively confirmed by The Business of Fashion. Until now, Gaga had been directly involved in the brand’s creative direction and product development, but her new role means she will also oversee its commercial strategy and business decisions.

“Ben and I started Haus Labs together eight years ago, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built. I’m excited to take a more active role in the company and work alongside our incredible team to continue building on everything we’ve achieved,” the artist told the publication.

She also made her ambitions for the company’s future clear: “I have so many ideas for this brand, and there’s still so much more for us to do.”

Haus Labs was founded in 2019 under the name Haus Laboratories, becoming Lady Gaga’s first independent business venture in the beauty industry. Initially launched exclusively through Amazon, the brand was inspired by the singer’s personal relationship with make-up, which has played a fundamental role in shaping her artistic identity since her early years in New York.

In 2022, the company underwent a significant transformation with its relaunch as Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, introducing a new visual identity, reformulated products and a partnership with Sephora. Since then, products such as the Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation have become some of the brand’s most popular offerings.

The departure of Ben Jones, who previously worked at The Honest Company, founded by Jessica Alba, signals the beginning of a new era for the business. The former executive has also commented on his departure, expressing confidence in Gaga’s ability to continue developing the company.
