Nicki Minaj surprises with her new single, “Last Time I Saw You,” an emotional song that previews her upcoming album “Pink Friday 2,” scheduled for release on November 17th.
With a runtime of approximately three and a half minutes, the song is produced by ATL Jacob, TooDope!, Hendrix Smoke, Alex Bak, and Frankie Bash. In it, we hear Nicki Minaj delivering a slower and more melodic track. She sings over a simple drumbeat and selected guitar strings before delving into emotional verses about what she wishes she had said to her loved ones during their last conversation.
“Last Time I Saw You” was initially released as a TikTok exclusive and serves as a prelude to Minaj’s upcoming album, Pink Friday 2, which will arrive on November 17th, following up on her influential 2010 album that defined her career. She also has plans to go on tour in 2024 in support of the album.
