Stars from the worlds of sport, music, film and fashion turned the opening day of Wimbledon 2026 into one of the most exclusive social events of the British summer.
The opening day of Wimbledon 2026 once again proved that the world’s most prestigious tennis tournament is about far more than sport. As it does every summer, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London welcomed some of the biggest names from across the entertainment industry, transforming the stands into a stylish showcase where fashion and elite tennis shared centre stage.
Among the standout guests was David Beckham, one of the tournament’s most familiar faces. The former England captain attended alongside his mother, Sandra Beckham, reaffirming his long-standing connection with one of the most iconic events on the sporting calendar. They were joined by Cruz Beckham, whose appearance further cemented the Beckham family’s presence at one of the season’s most prestigious social occasions.

Another of the day’s biggest attractions was Bad Bunny, whose attendance once again highlighted the Puerto Rican superstar’s growing influence across both fashion and global culture. The singer, now regarded as one of the most influential figures in contemporary entertainment, attracted significant attention from photographers and fans as he arrived at the famous London venue.
The guest list also featured an impressive selection of stars from film, television and music. Jameela Jamil opted for an elegant polka-dot maxi dress, accessorised with a Prada handbag and Linda Farrow sunglasses, while Isla Fisher attended with her older brother, Daniel Fisher, wearing a beautifully structured white dress by ME+EM, paired with a sophisticated Marina Raphael clutch.
Fashion remained firmly in the spotlight thanks to Maura Higgins, who chose an all-white Chanel ensemble, completing the look with playful statement heels featuring tennis balls in the heels and a matching tennis ball-shaped handbag—one of the day’s most talked-about outfits.

Also in attendance were singer Niall Horan, accompanied by his partner Amelia “Mia” Woolley, celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, actors Jason Isaacs and Lennie James, as well as Leslie Mann, who enjoyed the opening day alongside her husband Judd Apatow and their daughter Maude Apatow.
While celebrities brought glamour to Centre Court, the tennis itself was equally anticipated. One of the tournament’s biggest storylines will be the long-awaited return of Serena Williams to Grand Slam singles competition. The legendary American champion is set to play her first singles match at this level since 2022, facing Australia’s Maya Joint in one of the championship’s most eagerly awaited encounters.
Blending world-class sport with some of the biggest names in fashion, music, film and entertainment, Wimbledon 2026 has once again established itself as one of the most exclusive events on the international social calendar, where British elegance and elite tennis come together every summer.
