Singer La Roux confirms a sexual abuse allegation against Kanye West through private messages linked to a 2010 filming.
A serious allegation against Kanye West, also known as Ye, has returned to the spotlight following the emergence of new evidence supporting the testimony of model Jennifer Ann. British singer La Roux has publicly backed the claims, providing private messages that, according to court documents, corroborate what allegedly took place during the filming of a remix of ‘In for the Kill’ in 2010.
According to the lawsuit filed in 2024, Jennifer Ann alleges that during the shoot the artist crossed boundaries in an extreme manner. In her account, she describes how Kanye West allegedly grabbed her by the neck, covered her mouth and inserted his fingers into her throat, in an act she claims simulated forced oral sex. The scene, according to the complaint, was justified by the artist as a form of artistic expression.
The case has taken on new weight following the inclusion of alleged messages from La Roux, who witnessed the incident. In them, the artist describes the experience as “horrible” and states that she has never been able to forget what happened. She also reportedly expressed concern about the potential release of the recorded material, requesting that the footage not be used or shared.
Although La Roux had previously hinted at witnessing troubling behaviour by Kanye West, she had not disclosed details out of respect for the person affected. The emergence of these legal documents shifts the narrative and brings the case back into public discussion.
The lawsuit also includes allegations against Universal Music Group, accusing the company of continuing to work with artists involved in controversies related to inappropriate conduct within the music industry.
The case reopens a complex debate around boundaries within creative environments, industry accountability and the challenge of separating artistic work from the actions of those who create it.
