Hollywood star Ana de Armas surprises at the Australian Open final alongside tennis player Jim Courier.
Hollywood superstar Ana de Armas surprised everyone by playing an unexpected role in the men’s final of the Australian Open. The Cuban-Spanish actress joined legendary tennis player Jim Courier to present the Norman Brookes Cup to the packed crowd at Rod Laver Arena before the thrilling match.
De Armas, 35, who is filming two consecutive movies in Australia, flew specially to Melbourne for her brief appearance. Accompanied by Courier, who has won the trophy twice, the pair presented the iconic cup to the audience, unveiling it from a custom Louis Vuitton trunk.
“Norman has arrived in style and brought along Jim Courier and Ana de Armas. What a brilliant trio!” wrote the Australian Open on their social media.
After the presentation, Ana de Armas took her seat alongside several Australian celebrities inside Rod Laver Arena. The actress’s inclusion in the trophy presentation was well received by most viewers.

Although some expressed surprise at her involvement, the unexpected presenting duo left fans delighted. However, not everyone agreed with the choice of trophy presentation box, criticizing the flashy Louis Vuitton box compared to the simpler presentation of the women’s trophy the previous night.
The Australian Open continues to be the stage for unforgettable moments, blending the world of tennis with the glamour of Hollywood thanks to Ana de Armas and Jim Courier.
