Nude Triumphs at Saint Laurent: Transparent Garments Flood the Runway and Front Row Celebrities

If you’ve been waiting to try the naked dress trend, let this be your sign. Saint Laurent‘s Fall/Winter 2024 runway show was absolutely packed with sheer pieces, from the catwalk to the star-studded front row.

While the show featured airy, flowing versions of the see-through dress, VIP attendees took a variety of approaches to the trend. For instance, Olivia Wilde paired a diaphanous bodysuit with a pencil skirt and pointed-toe heels, completing the look with a waist-cinching belt, leather gloves, a gold necklace, and oversized sunglasses.

Elsa Hosk also sported the trend. The model tried the power clash with a diplomatic-striped suit, worn over a sheer polka-dot blouse. Wilde and Hosk weren’t alone. Georgia May Jagger joined the trend, sporting a sheer black halter with vertical stripes. She, like Wilde, also wore a below-the-knee skirt and leather gloves. Singer and model Ebony Riley opted for a fitted black dress with a plunging V-neckline and cutouts on the arms.

The naked dress shows no signs of slowing down. The sheer trend has been ubiquitous on the Fall/Winter 2024 runways, from lace dresses at Gucci to – well, everything – at Ludovic de Saint Sernin. By the end of fashion month, we’ll have an endless array of new ways to try the look for ourselves.
