Zimmermann Spring 2025: The Rebirth of Retro Romance
Zimmermann presents its Spring 2025 collection inspired by 70s surf aesthetics, featuring airy silhouettes and marine tones.
The Spring 2025 collection dazzles with a blend of vintage aesthetics and a vibrant beachy spirit. On the Paris runway, the Australian brand showcased a show inspired by the light of dawn over the ocean, with designs that capture the charm of 70s surf culture.
Nicky Zimmermann, founder and creative director, drew inspiration from the cult film Morning of the Earth, reminiscing about her youth in Sydney. The collection is defined by light volumes, fluid ruffles, and a palette of earthy tones, deep blues, and pastel hues. Long, flowing silhouettes were adorned with handwoven macramé details and sun-shaped embroidery, merging sophistication with a carefree vibe.
Fabrics play a central role: delicate organzas, crochet meshes, and chiffon skirts that sway with the breeze evoke a sense of freedom. A surf-inspired bodysuit was paired with a silver-sheen organza skirt, mimicking the surface of water under the sun.
The collection, which redefines retro romance with a modern approach, reaffirms why Zimmermann remains a global reference in contemporary luxury, maintaining its playful and elegant essence season after season.
