Zegna is bringing a version of its natural reserve, Oasi Zegna, located in Trivero, Italy, to the mountains of Colorado.

This Monday in Aspen, the Italian luxury brand will unveil the Oasi Zegna Global Initiatives, its commitment to conservation, reforestation, and environmental education. In collaboration with public and private partners, the company will reforest an area in Lake Christine with 160,000 native trees alongside the U.S. Forest Service. It will also work with local foundations to reduce wildfire risk and support biodiversity through controlled burns and clean-up activities, while preserving forest health in cooperation with the City of Aspen.

A partnership with ACES will promote public environmental responsibility, and a new forest garden will be planted in tribute to Aspen’s Italian roots in collaboration with Farm Collaborative. There will also be a mobile planting and education station, offering the public immersive environmental storytelling throughout the summer.

“Our Road to Tomorrow began with a vision: to create beauty where others saw only a barren mountain. Today, that vision continues in Aspen and beyond,” said Gildo Zegna, Chairman and CEO of Zegna. “The Oasi Zegna Global Initiatives reflect our enduring belief that nature, culture, and community must evolve together. It’s not just about preserving, but about creating new spaces for connection and growth.”

Since its founding in 1910, the company’s core message has been to live in harmony with nature. This concept took shape in 1929 with the creation of Oasi Zegna, a natural reserve in Trivero that is 30 times the size of New York’s Central Park. Today, the company plants a tree for every child born to a Zegna employee, donates flower gardens in Milan’s Piazza Duomo, and revitalises public parks in Palm Beach and Boston, among other efforts.
