Chanel offers a glimpse into its Fall Winter 2024 collection, inspired by Deauville, blending heritage and modernity in Paris.

Ahead of the highly anticipated Fall Winter 2024.25 Pret-à-Porter runway show, Chanel provides a sneak peek into a collection deeply rooted in the brand’s heritage yet pulsating with contemporary energy. Set for Tuesday, March 5th at the iconic Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, this collection draws inspiration from a place deeply intertwined with Gabrielle Chanel’s personal narrative: Deauville. The coastal town, renowned for its racing culture and timeless allure, serves as the perfect muse for Virginie Viard’s latest creations for Chanel.

The preview, captured by the renowned photographic duo Inez & Vinoodh, melds the essence of Deauville with Chanel’s modern sophistication. The images showcase the silhouettes of five models, their forms blended through a delicate play of transparencies against the backdrop of Deauville’s dynamic skies and expansive sandy beaches. The photographs, taken from dawn to dusk, evoke a sense of timeless elegance and fluidity, reflecting the ever-changing yet ever-charming skies over Deauville.

Highlighted in this preview are models Vivienne Rohner and Amelia Gray, enveloped in oversized checkered tweed coats inspired by menswear but unmistakably Chanel in their delicacy and detail. Lulu Tenney presents a more nuanced interpretation of the Chanel aesthetic with culottes paired under a coat painted with the warm hues of a Deauville sunset. Angelina Kendall’s pleated black satin dress introduces a touch of classic refinement, while Mahany Pery’s tweed pantsuit channels the spirit and silhouette of Gabrielle Chanel herself, highlighting the timeless allure that has defined the brand since its inception.

Accessories play a key role in completing each look, with quilted handbags, tweed caps, wide-brimmed hats, and scarves coming together to suggest a free-spirited elegance that is both grounded and ethereal. These pieces complement the clothing and also contribute to a narrative of movement and freedom, echoing Gabrielle Chanel’s revolutionary approach to women’s fashion.
